Dr. Mohan Babu on his birthday. Thousands of students, parents, fans and general public thronged SVIS campus and greeted Dr. Mohan Babu on the occasion of his birthday celebrations. The Fans Associations from all over Chittoor and neighboring districts shouted slogans in praise of Dr. Mohan Babu and showed their affection by putting giant garlands.

Dr. MB a donor of education, says Nandamuri Balakrishna


Nandamuri Balakrishna Top film hero Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna, who graced the function as the chief guest, praised Dr. Mohan Babu for his selfless service to the people of Andhra Pradesh, particularly the perennially drought-hit Rayalaseema. Stating that "Vidyadanam" is the noblest of all charities, Mr. Balakrishna said he was thrilled to observe the fact: "Dr. Mohan Babu drew inspiration from my father late NT Rama Rao." He further said it gave him extraordinary happiness to see thousands of students and parents imposing their confidence and trust in
Dr. Mohan Babu as their mentor.

Mr. Balakrishna announced that he would constitute two awards in the name of his late father and legendary artiste NT Rama Rao. They would be termed – All-rounder and Topper – and presented to the merit students every year, starting from the next academic year.

Dr. Mohan Babu profusely thanked Mr. Balakrishna and other guests of honor – Dr. KI Varaprasad Reddy, MD of Shanta Biotechnics Ltd; JNTU Vice Chancellor Prof Rajagopal, SV University Vice Chancellor Prof. S. Jayarami Reddy, Advisor to Govt. of AP (Foreign Affairs) Mr. CC Reddy, Film director Mr. SS Rajamouli and Music Director Mr. MM Keeravani – for gracing the function. He urged the students to carry forward the message of social service to all nooks and corners of the country. He appreciated the participation of students in all the good endeavors intended to serve the society.

Keeravani terms Dr. MB as “Mahaneeyudu”


MM Keeravani hailed Dr. Mohan Babu as "noble person" (mahaneeyudu) and said the students and parents attached to Sree Vidyanikethan were lucky to have Dr. Mohan Babu as their guide. He observed that Dr. Mohan Babu was the true reflection of discipline and humility, though he reached higher levels of his career as a movie artiste and educationist.

SS Rajamouli said that "Yamadonga", in which he is directing Dr. Mohan Babu, would present high-voltage entertainment to the fans of the star actor.

Prof. K. Rajagopal, Prof. S. Jayarami Reddy and Mr. CC Reddy richly complimented the great service of Dr. Mohan Babu in the direction of extending quality education to all sections of society and thereby making his mission – Education for all – a reality.

The twin-functions witnessed colorful and enthralling cultural events. In this connection, Dr. Mohan Babu organized rich felicitation to the retired teachers who taught him at Nehru Municipal School , Tirupati, during his school days. Film hero and SVET CEO Mr. Manchu Vishnu and Special Officer Prof. Gopal Rao were among those who took part in the felicitation function.

Dr. MB calls for war against AIDS


Dr. Mohan Babu has today launched a massive awareness campaign against the dreaded AIDS after kicking off a rally in Tirupati. Dr. Mohan Babu, who was conferred with the Padma Shree award for his services to Art, said that he would take up the awareness campaign to all the districts in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a public meeting at Nalugu Kalla Mandapam junction near Tirupati railway station, he said it is unfortunate that a pilgrim place like Tirupati is in the map of AIDS menace. He also urged the people of Tirupati to take part in big numbers in spreading the message for maintaining clean water, sanitation in their houses and neighborhood. "The Padma Award has increased my responsibility for the society," he said. Thousands of students from Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions took part in the rally, showing placards and shouting slogans to promote awareness about clean water, sanitation and alertness against AIDS. Tirupati MLA Venkataramana and TTD Chairman Mr. Karunakar Reddy appreciated the gesture of Mohan Babu for society. Hero Vishnu also took part in the event.
