About 3000 youth led by the Manoj-Vishnu Yuvasena on Sunday organized an impressive “Victory Rally” to celebrate the success of Mohan Babu'smovie “Shiv Shankar”, at the pilgrim town of Tirupati . The movie was produced on Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures Banner. Maestro Ilayaraja scored the music for the movie, which is directed by K Rajendra. Reports said the rally commenced at SV Arts College centre and flowed through the main junctions of the town – Balaji Colony, Town Club, Tirumala Byepass Road , Khadi Colony and Gandhi Street before turning into a public address at Sandhya Theatre.
Tirupati MLA Mr. Venkatramana and State Vishnu Yuvasena President Mr. Sunil Chakravarthy took part in the rally cum victory meet as chief guests. The MLA appreciated the efforts of Padma Shri. Dr Mohan Babu as the actor with the rarest of rare talents. “The services of Padma Shri. Dr Mohan Babu to the social upliftment are unique and praiseworthy,” he maintained. He said the Buddhist monk role played by Dr MB is interest not only at the state level, but also all over India .
Shiv Shankar release on August 25th
Padma Shri. Dr Mohan Babu's movie “Shiv Shankar” is releasing on August 25th. The highlights of the movie are going to be the Buddhist monk role by Dr MB. Dr MB told a pressmeet on Thursday that “Shiv Shankar” is coming up on the Big screen after a gap of two years in his career. He expressed confidence that the movie will entertain all sections of the audience. The audio released recently registered good response among the music lovers. He thanked Maestro Ilayaraja, who scored scintillating music for the movie, on this occasion.
The movie is starring Soundarya and Natayna Singh in the female leads. Made on Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner, the movie comes as a dedication to Actress Soundarya and her brother, who died in a plan crash, a few months ago.
Mohan Babu turns a monk!
Mohan Babu has completed shooting for “Shiv Shankar” and is all set to reappear on the screen after a long time. This time he has chosen a subject that seems different from the current trend of films. “It's a story of a mature person who goes through some critical situations. He turns to Buddhism and becomes a monk, at one stage. The film will have all the necessary masala and I am sure people will like the way I have interpreted this character,” says the veteran. This is the last film of actress Soundarya who died soon after in an air crash. Sultry siren Natanya Singh is also playing a role in the film.
More on Mohan Babu. He has bought the rights of Tamil hi film “Adidhadi” and is planning to make it in Telugu. He will be playing one of the lead roles. Another well-known actor will play the second important role. Mohan Babu himself will produce the film under his home production banner Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. This is scheduled to go on the floors in a couple of months.
Vishnu clarifies to fans over shooting mishap
Hero Vishnuvardhan Babu, who was hurt in a shooting schedule at Pakala, a railway junction town in Chittoor district, last Friday, has today clarified that he was hurt in head while doing an acrobatic feat. His head was banged to an iron rod and resulted in a bleeding injury. However, it did not deter him from the shoot schedules since the injury was under the hair growth. After medication, the injury is now healed and the swelling has come down.
Ever since, the news appeared, his office at Hyderabad started receiving a number of calls from fans all over the state, inquiring about his health. Meanwhile, the unit of “Suryam” returned to Hyderabad after a ten-day long shooting at Pakala and expressed happiness about the movie's progress. Directed by V Samudra, the movie is slated for Deewali release. Vishnu back to action after head injury.
Hero Vishnu Vardhan Babu was hurt during the shoot of a stunts sequence at Pakala in Chittoor district on Friday last. According to reports in the local press, the actor received a bleeding injury on his forehead while swerving a sharp-edged weapon. The unit members administered first aid and a doctor brought to the scene made a spot check-up of the actor's condition. On medical advice, he was on rest for a couple of days and the shooting commenced today.
Vishnu State Yuvatha president Sunil Chakravarthy told the fans that there was nothing to worry about Vishnu's physical condition. He said Vishnu would be participating in the stunt sequences as usual from Monday. Students and friends from Sree Vidyanikethan rushed to Pakala and called on Vishnu.
Chakravarthy further said hero Manoj Kumar is visiting Tirupati on Monday to take part in the success rally (which starts from Tirupati) following the roaring hit of his debut movie “Donga Dongadi”. |
